Are you into writing, reading, crafts, cats, scifi/fantasy, and other random things? Sweet! Me too.
I'm an aspiring YA fantasy author with 3.5 drafts under my belt. Inspiring, I know. Basically, I'm a tiny baby author who's trying to understand this craft better. As I dive into topics like story structure, worldbuilding, plotting, and character arcs, I'll compose posts that summarize what I've learned and include links to additional resources.
I also craft, which for me includes knitting, crochet, embroidery, punch needle (technically a kind of embroidery, but we're separating it out for reasons), spinning, sewing, painting, and the occasional dye project.
And there are cats Bertrum, Scarlet, and Marvin. They're the ones responsible for most of the aforementioned chaos.

My Story
Writing
For nearly fifteen years, I worked with teens, first as a youth program coordinator and later as a teacher. This experience, combined with my own love of reading, has given me a passion for storytelling that's grounded in real-life experiences, emotions, and conflicts. While my stories are often set in fantastical places, I strive to write relatable characters with complex motives and understandings of their world.
Crafting
I've been making things for as long as I can remember. Whether it was my grandmother teaching me to sew clothes for my dolls, my mom helping me design my Halloween costumes, or my first crochet lessons with my aunt, crafts were always a part of my life. After college, I lived in a unique community, and it was there that I learned to knit, spin, weave, and dye wool. After that, I taught myself embroidery and quilting.
Chaos
There are also three cats and one tiny human running around my house. So, the chaos is self explanatory really.
